Aristotle

384–322 BC

Student of Plato for twenty years and tutor of Alexander, he founded the Lyceum and set out to order the whole of knowledge: logic, physics, biology, ethics, politics, rhetoric, and the science of being. Antiquity called him simply "the Philosopher."
