Every text in Plato Scroll is drawn from the public domain. This page credits the translators, the original-language sources, and the licences under which they are shared.
The translations
Plato Scroll gathers established public-domain translations, a number of modern public-domain renderings, and — for a few texts that had no free English translation — new translations prepared with Claude, disclosed as such. Each work is credited to its translator below; where a text carries its source language, the Greek or Latin original is noted too.
